His Substitute Wife... My Sister

About the Author

Sylvia Hubbard knew she’d wanted to be a writer of romance long before she knew there were black writers in the world. Weaving stories magically as a summer past time to writing stories to get through the humdrum of school, she was able to create something from nothing.

Today, she has independently published over 28 books, is the founder of Motown Writers Network and The AA Electronic Literary Network, CEO of HubBooks Literary Services, runs over five blogs on a variety of subjects, host The Michigan Literary Network Radio Show and is a happily divorced mother of three children in Detroit, Michigan.

“I’m no superwoman,” she states with a smile that seems infinite on her lips. “I’m just being an asset in the world instead of a liability.”

Considered an addicted blogger by HoneyTechblog.com, nominated and recognized for her literary work in the Metro Detroit area, referred to as “A Literary Diva” by Detroit City Council and donned “Cliffhanger Queen” by her readers, she finds solace in speaking and educating on a variety of topics.

About the Book

Feeling the ultimate betrayal by her own sibling, Chyna knows she has to do whatever it takes to keep her husband and give him what he longs for - a baby. Knowing that she's unable to have children and Cheyenne is afflicted with the same condition, she decides to go to the only person that can help her save her marriage - her younger sister, Charisse.

In the end, one sister will die, another will lose everything and one will get everything that she wants.

Whose Am I?

About the Author

Reading and writing have been a passion for me since I was a child growing up in Virginia. I spent most of my free time with either a ball or a good book in my hand. I graduated from Hampton University in 1996 and began teaching special education at a local elementary school. In 1998, I relocated to Georgia and soon married my college sweetheart, Norris.

In the summer of 2000, God planted the seed for Whose Am I? in my spirit. I wrote the first draft with dreams of having it published, but life suddenly became busier than I ever imagined. I was blessed with two children, Niya and Isaiah, and started my graduate studies at Kennesaw State University. Shortly after graduating, I became a school administrator. In the midst of being a busy wife, mother and career woman, I still thought about my beloved characters. Sharlee, Lukas, and Momma Johnson were still in my heart.

I made a promise to God that I would share their stories with young people everywhere. I didn't know how I was going to do it, but God did. He took control and orchestrated a series of events that allowed me to rewrite, edit and publish my story. Fourteen years later, Whose Am I? is no longer just a dream, it's reality.

About the Book

What's a girl to do when a five foot eight, hazel eyed import from LA shows up at school one day? What else, but fall head over heels in love! That's exactly what happens when Lukas strolls into Sharlee's high school in the suburbs of Atlanta. All the girls want him, but to Sharlee's surprise he asks her to the Homecoming Dance.

But Lukas will have to get the approval of Sharlee's sho' nuf sanctified grandma before he takes Momma Johnson's baby girl anywhere. Somehow he survives the hand wringing interrogation, but not before Momma Johnson makes it perfectly clear that Sharlee is a Christian girl and better stay that way. Easier said than done. Sharlee finds herself in some pretty sticky situations that put her faith and will power to the test. Will calling on Jesus, a praying best friend and a Bible App get her through prom night and a weekend rendezvous? Only time will tell.
